Fall is finally here and many people are counting down the days and looking forward to the holidays-Halloween, Thanksgiving, while others are looking forward to the leaves changing colors and finally being able to have Pumpkin Spice Lattes once more. Fashion-forward femmes are looking forward to the Fall fashion and the return of their favorite fall fashion trends.
A lot of fashion items and trends are unique to fall, and they’re absolutely gorgeous. It’s a real bummer that we can’t wear these all year round (you’ll be too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer). You can, however, rock these fall trends for as long as you like while it’s fall.
Here’s a list of fashion items to make you look your best this fall!
You can always rely on good old denim. Unconventional jeans are back with a bang, and this fall, the DIY way is the way to go. Iron-on decals, patchwork, raw hems and fringes are all dominating the scene. If you’re crafty enough to design your jeans, go right ahead. If you aren’t, no need to fret. You can always buy a pre-made pair at stores around you.
Summer is all about wearing the lightest and thinnest clothes, but fall-centric fabrics are notably cozier and thicker. As such, it’s no surprise that velvet is making a comeback. Velvet is the epitome of style this fall. InStyle says “Colored Velvet: One of NYFW 2017’s Most Luxurious Trends”. It’s everywhere, and you definitely shouldn’t skip out on getting one or two velvet items in your wardrobe.
Another trend making the waves this fall is the racing-inspired jacket. Prepare your HotWheels, because jackets deigned with racer patches, colorblocking, and shoulder panels that contrast are the new cool.
A lot of shoes were made for fall. They’re of various styles and types, but you’ll love them all the same. Shelf your summer flip-flops for bow slides, and your plain winter boots for ankle-length slouchy boots, plaid boots, or thigh-high boots. You should also get sling-back Block Heels. Wearing these shoes, you’ll command fashion respect with every step.
Burnt Orange has always been a color of fall, and it started making waves on runways some seasons ago. Now, it’s making a bang in the fashion world, and it’s time to embrace it as your neutral for Fall. Hit the stores, get a burnt orange jacket, burnt orange boots, or a burnt orange bag!
You don’t have to spend a fortune on a new designer bag this fall, because vintage bags are leading the scene. Head over to the nearest vintage or second-hand store and get yourself a beautiful vintage bag. Pair with any outfit, and you’ll make the loudest fashion statement.
What are YOUR favorite fashion trends this season?!
I’ve been a LOVER of the bodysuit (aka onesie) ever since witnessing my mom sport them in the 80’s.
I mean, the concept just makes total sense!
My favorite pieces to pair with a bodysuit are high-waisted jeans and skirts.
When pairing a bodysuit with high-waisted jeans try adding something, like a shirt, around your waist. It adds dimension and has a slimming effect.

Versatile, Chic, And Totally On-Trend...
That's how I would describe this little ensemble I've put together here!
The Tory Burch Gemini Link Snake Bag is not only chic and sophisticated....it's BAD ASS! It can be worn as a cross-body, shoulder-bag, or carried as a clutch, which makes it super easy to dress up or down! I'm loving plaid and menswear, this season, so I pretty much hit the jackpot with this little beaut! It's so damn classy!
I know I've posted about these Vince Camuto booties already, but they're totally worth mentioning again. They're the perfect "dressed-up" Fall bootie!
This Milly Lasercut Sheath Dress was EVERYTHING and MORE than I imagined and had hoped for! It's fitted, yet flattering, the quality is top-notch, it's the perfect length, and it's sexy without being over-the-top.
